The National Jamboree may be over, but the adventure is just beginning. As Scouts return home inspired by their experiences, many are already asking the next question: What's next? For hundreds of Scouts across the country, the answer is the 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Poland.

The excitement generated by the recent National Jamboree has created tremendous momentum for the upcoming 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Poland, leading organizers to expand opportunities for American Scouts and leaders to participate.

When the U.S. contingent size was initially established in November, organizers reserved space for 14 units, accommodating approximately 36 youth participants and four adult leaders. Those available spots were filled by early June, prompting the creation of a waitlist.

As enthusiasm continued to grow throughout the summer, the waitlist quickly expanded, leading organizers to request and receive approval for two additional units.

Additional Opportunities Available Through August

Recognizing the increased demand, the Poland organizing committee has granted the U.S. contingent additional time through the end of August to expand participation opportunities.

Interested youth participants and International Service Team (IST) members are encouraged to register through the waitlist process. As additional contingent slots are approved, applicants will be moved from the waitlist into active participant status. Organizers hope to notify applicants of their status by mid-September.

A waitlist will remain in place after that time, as participant changes and openings are expected to occur periodically leading up to the event.

What is the World Scout Jamboree?

Held every four years, the World Scout Jamboree brings together tens of thousands of Scouts and Scouters from around the globe for an unparalleled experience of adventure, cultural exchange, leadership development, and international friendship. The 2027 event will be hosted in Poland, providing participants with a unique opportunity to represent Scouting America while building lifelong connections with Scouts from around the world.
