Hello Popcorn Kernels, Unit Leaders Unit Committee Chairs and Council Leadership,
As we enter the final days of the 2026 Popcorn Sale, thank you for all you are doing to help Scouts fund their adventures and achieve their Scouting goals.
Additional Walmart Storefront Opportunities
We are working to secure Walmart storefront sales opportunities for the weekends of November 14-15 and November 21-22.
The following locations have been requested through Walmart's reservation system:
- Lima (Harding Highway)
- Lima (Allentown Road)
- Wapakoneta
- Defiance
- Wauseon
- Findlay (Tiffin Avenue)
- Findlay (Trenton Avenue)
- Napoleon*
- Celina
- Ottawa
- Tiffin (as of this email, this location is available for reservation on Scout Boss)
- Van Wert
- Bryan
*Napoleon currently has reservations only for November 15 and November 22. Kenton did not have available dates in November.
As locations are confirmed, they will be added to the Kernel Tracker system, allowing units to reserve storefront shifts directly through the app.
Please note: Since these opportunities occur after the final return date, units participating in Walmart storefronts will be allowed to retain sufficient inventory to support their scheduled sales. All other units must return their excess popcorn by Monday October 26.
Using Kernal Tracker to Reserve Storefronts
Once locations are activated:
- Log in to your Kernel Tracker account.
- Open Kernel Tracker.
- Select Locations.
- View available Walmart storefronts. You might need to scroll to the bottom
- Reserve your preferred date and time slot.
- Assign Scouts to shifts within Kernel Tracker.
- Monitor storefront sales and inventory through the system.
The earlier you reserve dates, the better selection your unit will have.
Returns & Final Orders
- October 26: Final popcorn order due, (note the updated date, since we recognize that many of our units meet on Monday nights)
- October 26: Final date for Show & Sell returns, Only Return the popcorn your unit does not need for their take orders.
- Returns are due at the council service center in, 2100-Broad Ave, Findlay OH
- Please review inventory now and transfer excess product to other units whenever possible before returning product.

Online Sales
Online sales remain open through November 19. Encourage every Scout to send one more email, text, or social media message to family and friends. Many Scouts see a significant increase in sales during the final weeks of the campaign.

Prizes
Remember that all prize orders are due by November 15. Please verify each Scout's sales and reward levels before submitting your final order. To quality for the council prizes Scouts have to be entered into the
Scout Night with the Walleye
Top popcorn sellers will be recognized during Scout Night with the Toledo Walleye on January 22, 2027. Additional details will be shared in a future Kernel Journal.
