Dear Cub Scouts:

In 2024 we've included all Cub Scouts! Typically Troop 179 has invited Cub Scout Packs to join us at the Ottawa District Fall Camporee but there isn't one in 2024. So we invite all Cub Scouts to join us at our annual Webelosfest & Cub Scout Field Day.

We will host our thirty-sixth annual Webelosfest and this year we are expanding to include all Cub Scouts from Lions to AOLs! The date is October 4, 5, and 6, 2024. This year we are very excited to announce that we will be at Multi Lakes Conservation Club in Commerce, Michigan. If you are coming for the weekend you should plan your arrival on Friday night no earlier than 7:00 pm. This is to enable us to set-up the camp prior to your arrival. If you are coming for Saturday only, you should plan on arriving around 8:00 am, so that you can check-in prior to the start of activities at 9:00.

Your host for the weekend will be Assistant Scoutmaster Rachael Ayotte. She is available to answer your questions about the Webelosfest & Cub Scout Field Day or the Scouts BSA program. Rachael can be reached at letsgocamping@att.net. Rachael is also our Membership Chair and is available to work with you throughout the year for visits to our meetings, cross-overs, Den Chiefs, or any other questions you may have about our troop.
